WCHOF Music Series

The World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) Music Series is a premier performance program that explores the striking similarities between chess and music—such as notes, patterns, poetry, and tempo—which create beautiful compositions on both the chessboard and the keyboard. The series connects communities by showcasing incredible artists from Saint Louis and beyond, featuring everything from classical composers and jazz fusion to R&B and soul.

Most of our signature concerts take place in our intimate performance space at the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries, located in the vibrant Central West End neighborhood of Saint Louis, Missouri (4652 Maryland Ave.). We also host outdoor community pop-ups, like our Chess Pocket Park Concerts, throughout the summer.

Yes, for our main indoor concert series, tickets are required. Because our venue offers an intimate setting, seats fill up quickly, and many performances sell out well in advance. You can view upcoming shows and secure individual tickets directly on our Events Calendar.

A typical WCHOF Music Series event features two distinct parts to give you a deeper look into the music:

• 6:00 p.m. – An engaging Artist Talk where performers discuss their craft, inspiration, and the evening’s program.
• 7:00 p.m. – The live Concert Performance.
• Doors generally open for regular ticket holders at 5:30 p.m.

2027 Music Series season tickets come in packages of 6, 12, or 24 admissions. Anyone can purchase 2027 season tickets. Current WCHOF members receive special pricing. Season tickets include early entry at 5:00 p.m., priority seating for the artist talk and concert, complimentary refreshments, and a 20% retail discount at Q Boutique.
