Refined Artistry Within a World-Class Museum

Sinta Quartet and a pianist performing for a seated audience at the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries.

Discover the emotional resonance of the nineteenth century within our unique Saint Louis venue. This WCHOF Music Series concert invites guests to encounter two deeply expressive chamber works celebrating one of classical music's most remarkable artistic relationships. Featuring the spontaneity of Robert Schumann's Fantasiestücke, Op. 88 alongside the structural mastery of Johannes Brahms's Piano Trio No. 2, Op. 87, the program illustrates how one musical voice can inspire another. Joined by St. Louis Symphony musicians Andrea Jarrett (violin) and Bjorn Ranheim (cello) with Music Director Brian Woods (piano), the recital offers an evening of extraordinary warmth and beauty. This performance transforms our intimate gallery into a sanctuary of sound, where the complexity of the chessboard meets the architectural grandeur of classical music's finest compositions.
