An Unrivaled Destination for Saint Louis Concerts

Anita Jackson and a jazz ensemble performing for a seated audience at the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries.

Step inside our intimate gallery for an extraordinary evening celebrating the soul, lyricism, and unforgettable voices of the United Kingdom’s most iconic women in music. This WCHOF Music Series presentation showcases Contemporary Artist-in-Residence Malena Smith as she offers fresh takes on beloved songs from powerhouse legends including Sade, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and more. The performance honors British singers and songwriters who have shaped modern melodies worldwide. This event transforms our sophisticated venue into a sanctuary of sound, where the strategic brilliance of chess meets the emotional journey of exceptional live vocals.

Deepen Your Experience

To hear Malena Smith sing is to experience a voice distilled from every corner of the American songbook. With influences spanning pop, folk, soul, and jazz, she crafts a seamless, unmistakable sound that is uniquely her own. The rising singer, songwriter, and storyteller is celebrated for her genre-blending style, expressive vocals, and introspective, thought-provoking lyrics. Malena has shared stages with Michael Bublé, Brian Owens, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Adam Maness Trio, and Clark Beckham (American Idol), with appearances across the U.S. and internationally in Japan.
