GET READY FOR A CREATIVE REFRESH!

Join the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries, Saint Louis‘s premier cultural destination, for a sports-forward hands-on workshop. This creative, family-friendly program is a highlight of the local calendar and a fun way to experience chess education with artistic expression and sports strategy.

The Program: Decorate a Sports Water Bottle

Design Your Own Winning Hydration

Feeling parched? Decorate a reusable water bottle that’s as unique as you are! We’re bringing the creativity to the Play & Create Space with a session inspired by the game’s strategy. We’ll have everything you need to deck out your bottle, including stickers, markers, and plenty of bling. Whether you’re a serious athlete or a casual competitor, you can create a one-of-a-kind bottle to keep you hydrated and in style.

We’ll provide all the supplies and some light refreshments to keep you going. Come hang out, get crafty, and design your new favorite water bottle!

All supplies for this activity are included, and no chess experience is required to join!

The program has a $10 entry fee, but is FREE for World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries Members! Learn more about becoming a member.

The Exhibition: Game Plan: The Strategy of Chess and Sports

The Intersection of Strategy and Culture.

This fun and interactive program is offered in connection with our current exhibition, Game Plan: The Strategy of Chess and Sports. This exhibition explores the parallel strategies found in both athletic competition and the game of chess. This event promotes chess education by demonstrating how preparation and personal “game plans”—like staying hydrated—are vital to success in any arena.
