Monthly Music Series: From Classics to Broadway: A night of song with tenor Scott Kennebeck and John Powel Walsh

Experience a delightful evening of music with tenor Scott Kennebeck and pianist John Powel Walsh. The program will include a wonderful mix of songs from Broadway hits, musical settings of poems by Eugene Field, and classic songs made famous by world-renowned Irish tenor John McCormack in the early 20th century.

Scott Kennebeck has served as the tenor section leader for the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis and Saint Louis Archdiocesan Choirs since 1993. Kennebeck has toured as a soloist throughout the United States and Europe, in addition to performances at the St. Louis Symphony, Union Avenue Opera, and the St. Louis Muny. In addition to singing, Kennenbeck is the Executive Director of St. Louis Cathedral Concerts.

John Powel Walsh is an organist and sings in the Schola at the St. Louis Abbey and Priory School, and is the accompanist for both the American Kantorei and CRC Synagogue in Saint Louis. Walsh has also served as the organist and harpsichordist for the Bach Society of Saint Louis and the Ronald Arnatt Chorale. Additionally, Walsh was the founder of the St. Cecilia Consort, the St. Louis Hills Arts Council, and The Archangel Players.

General admission is $20. Discounted admission is $10 tickets for members, seniors, and military.
