Enjoy a performance by the Bach & Beethoven Experience with music from their beloved album, A Gaelic Summer, featuring a celebration of fiddle tune and drinking song traditions from the British Isles. Scottish fiddle tunes, Irish drinking songs, British earworms, and mad-libs improv based on Welsh penillion singing, make this an all-out, foot-stomping, face-stuffing, drink-guzzling jam. Come ready to have a good time and sing along to these timeless Gaelic tunes of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Founded in 2009, the Bach & Beethoven Experience (BBE) brings artists together to collaborate and transform the classical concert experience from a standard passive listening presentation to an interactive experience through classical, folk, and new music using period instruments. The BBE has performed across the U.S. including the Baroque on Beaver Island Festival, the Dame Myra Hess series, Boston Early Music Festival fringe series, and more. The BBE has also released 3 albums since 2019: A Gaelic Summer, An Appalachian Summer, and their newest album, Chicago Stories, featuring new music for period instruments written by five Chicago composers.
