Join us for a workshop inspired by Painted Pieces, an exhibition of art chess sets produced by Purling London. Bring a small object to the workshop and mixed media artist Rudy Zapf will show you how to transform everyday things into a visually interesting objet d’art using faux gold leaf and embellishments.
Rudy Zapf received her BFA in Drawing and Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1986. She has exhibited her mixed media work both internationally and locally. Rudy has worked with the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Laumeier Sculpture Park, and COCA to create visual art projects, and has presented drawing and mixed media workshops inspired by the exhibitions at the World Chess Hall of Fame.
