The Caïssa Club is a joint gift program that recognizes dedicated individuals, corporations, and foundations who make a combined annual gift of $1,000 or more.
What is Caïssa?
The Caïssa Club is named after the mythical Thracian dryad portrayed as the goddess of chess. Caïssa originates from the 658-line poem, Scacchia, Ludus (c. 1565), by Italian Renaissance poet Hieronymus Vida, which describes a chess game on Mount Olympus between Apollo and Mercury in the presence of the other gods.

By making a gift of $1,000 or more, you are helping sustain chess through education, the arts, culture, and sport in the city of Saint Louis and beyond. Each year, Caïssa Club members gather for exclusive events at both organizations, from personalized, curator-led tours to intimate cocktail receptions with renowned artists and private chess lessons with world-class grandmasters.
