Wednesday, June 21, 2017
Doors Open 6:00 p.m. | Event 6:30 p.m.
World Chess Hall of Fame, 3rd floor
Join us for an informal talk with artists from The Imagery of Chess: Saint Louis Artists, Brandon Anschultz, Juan William Chávez, and Adrian Octavius Walker. Each artist will speak for 20 minutes about their contribution to the exhibition. The discussion will offer behind the scenes insight from the artists and may take any form they choose, which could include a powerpoint presentation, demo of a process, or an insider’s look at the concept before it all came together. Topics will vary based on the artist’s piece, which include politics and power, community, and bees. After hearing from all three artists the audience is invited to ask questions, explore connections, draw conclusions, and imagine possible collaborations between the three artists.
Free Admission. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.
