Escape the summer heat with piano trio masterpieces, presented by WCHOF Music Director Brian Woods, St. Louis Symphony violinist Nathan Lowry, and Owensboro Symphony assistant principal cellist Alex Krew. Featuring Ludwig van Beethoven’s electric “Ghost” Trio and Felix Mendelssohn’s fiery Piano Trio in C Minor, the evening is sure to thrill and inspire with beautiful, virtuosic performances from three of the Midwest’s finest young artists.
Praised for his stunning musicianship and dazzling stage presence, WCHOF Music Director Brian Woods represents the new generation of professional touring pianists. Violinist Nathan Lowry was appointed to the St. Louis Symphony in 2023 by Stéphane Denève, and has championed the work of both classical favorites and living composers in the United States and abroad. Nashville-based cellist Alex Krew joins this performance amid a busy schedule of orchestral and chamber music performances, in addition to his playing for countless critically-acclaimed movie and video game soundtracks.
