Crafts & Cocktails: Faux Tie-Dye

Enjoy a signature cocktail and create a faux tie-dye textile inspired by Pinned! A Designer Chess Challenge, our newest exhibition showcasing the recent collaboration between the World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) and the Saint Louis Fashion Fund (SLFF), in which the designers from the Saint Louis Fashion Incubator (SLFI) were asked to create two submissions: one practical piece to be worn by a chess player and a second avant-garde piece inspired by the game. So, grab a Sharpie and roll up your sleeves! We’ll show you all you need to know to create a fun, colorful fabric that can be fashioned into a faux tie-dye scarf, bandana, or furoshiki.
*Free for World Chess Hall of Fame members.
Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.
For more information or to reserve a spot please email: [email protected].
Metered on-street parking is available, as well as paid lots adjacent to Crafts & Cocktails: Kingside Diner and at the Schlafly branch of the St. Louis Public Library.
