History of Space Mission Patches with the Challenger Learning Center

Join us for a special presentation about space mission patches and learn how to create your own with the Challenger Learning Center! Inspired by Ground Control: A Journey through Chess and Space, the Challenger Learning Center will explain the fascinating history and significance of space mission patches and provide more information about their organization. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to design their very own mission patches with a personalized insignia.

The award-winning Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis provides simulated space missions, science education and team building programs. The core experience at the center is a two-hour simulated space mission featuring an orbiting space station and a Mission Control center. All programs offered by the Challenger Learning Center provide meaningful and engaging science, technology, engineering, and math activities as well as a focus on teambuilding, cooperation, and critical and creative thinking skills. Programs are available for students, educators, corporations, Scouts, community groups, and the general public.

Appetizers and refreshments provided. Metered on-street parking is available, as well as paid lots adjacent to Kingside Diner and at the Schlafly branch of the St. Louis Public Library.
