Composer Spotlight Series: Bernstein

Join the World Chess Hall of Fame as we present the music of Leonard Bernstein. One of the most talented and successful musicians in American history, Bernstein was beloved the world over as a composer, conductor, pianist, teacher and musical mind. His compositional output spanned many styles: symphonic and orchestral, film and theater, choral and opera, ballet, chamber music, and works for piano. This concert will feature members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in a program of music for brass and piano, including selections from Bernstein’s most famous work, West Side Story.

This performance will feature members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra: Jeffrey Strong, trumpet; Michael Walk, trumpet; Roger Kaza, French horn; Timothy Myers, trombone; Gerry Pagano, bass trombone; Nina Ferrigno Andrews, piano

General admission is $20. Discounted admission is *$10 and available for members, seniors, and military.

Admission includes one free drink and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Metered on-street parking is available, as well as paid lots adjacent to Kingside Diner and at the Schlafly Branch of the St. Louis Public Library.
