GET READY FOR YOUR NEW FAVORITE BOOK CLUB!
Join the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries, Saint Louis’s premier cultural destination, for a unique and relaxing book club discussion. This thoughtful and engaging program is a fun way to experience chess education through literary analysis and thematic reflection.
The Program: Sally Rooney’s Intermezzo
Much like the strategic pause in a chess match, this gathering invites readers to slow down, reflect, and explore the themes, characters, and connections woven throughout Sally Rooney’s latest novel. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or new to Saint Louis book club conversations, this club is open to one and all!
All participants are invited to share their perspectives in our art gallery setting, and no chess experience is required to join! Copies of the book are available at Q Boutique. The program has a $5 entry fee, but is FREE for World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries Members! Learn more about becoming a member.
