Music Series: Rachmaninoff 150th with Pianist Daniel Schene

Experience a magical evening of music performed by internationally acclaimed pianist and recording artist Daniel Schene. A master of both the classical canon and the music of living composers, Schene joins the World Chess Hall of Fame's celebration of Sergei Rachmaninoff's 150th Birthday with a performance of the composer's Preludes, Op. 23 alongside a charming sonata by Franz Joseph Haydn.

Pianist Daniel Schene has performed as a recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber musician on four continents, garnering high praise from both critics and audiences. His Saint Louis recital was described as "a demonstration of exquisite pianism and musicianship" (St. Louis Post-Dispatch), and he has been hailed by Josef Gingold as "one of the finest all-around musicians of his generation." His vast repertoire encompasses the entire range of the classical repertoire, including the music of contemporary composers like Joan Tower and Libby Larsen. Mr. Schene is a prolific recording artist and records for CRI Records.
