WCHOF Composer Series: From Baroque to Bluegrass by the Kingsbury Ensemble

Watch a special performance by The Kingsbury Ensemble as they perform traditional ballads of Scotland and Ireland-inspired classical composers such as Geminiani, Haydn, and Beethoven, and eventually, the Appalachian tradition of Bluegrass music. Enjoy beautiful traditional tunes of the British isles, classical compositions, and Bluegrass tunes based on these melodies. This program features Brandi Berry, violinist and fiddler from Chicago, Maryse Carlin on harpsichord, Ken Kulosa on cello, Anne Timberlake on recorder, and soprano, Leann Schuering.

For over 20 years, The Kingsbury Ensemble has delighted audiences in the Saint Louis region, as well as in the US and abroad, presenting concerts ranging from chamber music and small orchestral ensemble, to vocal offerings, dance and theater. Since last summer, the Kingsbury Ensemble has also inaugurated a popular summer series of weekly free concerts, Little Lawn Music, drawing on Saint Louis musical talent in a variety of styles such as Classical, Jazz, Motown, and others.
