WCHOF Composer Series: Winter Opera: An Evening of Enlightenment

Join us for a special performance on our chess patio by the amazing voices of Winter Opera St. Louis. Soprano Gina Galati, mezzo soprano Kate Tombaugh, baritone Nick Ward, and accompanist Gail Hintz will be performing the virtuoso works of Mozart, Haydn, and Handel for an evening showcasing some of the best composers from the Enlightenment.

Italian-American soprano Gina Galati's flexible yet powerful voice has won her critical acclaim, and she also serves as the general director and founder of Winter Opera St. Louis. Mezzo-soprano Kate Tombaugh has been praised as “utterly convincing dramatically, and musically superlative," having performed professionally with opera companies and symphonies throughout the States. Additionally, baritone Nicholas Ward has been hailed as a performer of “effortless voice and agile presence” by the Houston Press. They will be accompanied by Gail Hintz, who holds over 30 years of experience playing piano in Saint Louis for the St. Louis Symphony, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and The Muny.
