Kingside Diner to Open Next Month in the Central West End
By Sarah Fenske
Aaron Teitelbaum, the chef/owner of Herbie’s Vintage ’72, plans to open a new diner in the old Lester’s spot in the Central West End — likely by mid-April.
Kingside Diner, which takes its name from a chess term and its logo from a chess piece, is meant to be a cozy hangout for players from the World Chess Hall of Fame, which sits right next door. But it’ll be far more than that: a seven-day-a-week spot for early breakfasts, late-night eats and everything in between, Teitelbaum promises. A full bar is in the works, although the liquor license may not yet be in place by opening day.
