A Sweet & Strategic Crafting Activity for All Ages

Get ready to checkmate your Valentine’s Day crafting! Join us for a fun afternoon of chess-inspired crafts. You can make a whimsical collage with hearts and knights, design a Valentine’s card with a chessboard pattern, or play a friendly game of chess. We’ll provide all the supplies and plenty of candy to sweeten the deal.

The activity is self-guided and runs during the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries’ business hours. All ages are welcome!All supplies for this self-led activity are included, and no chess experience is needed to join in!

Duck, Duck, Chess!

Get ready for some quacky fun! Come decorate your own rubber ducky to use in a game of Duck Chess, a delightful and approachable variant of chess. All the supplies are included for this activity in our Play and Create Space, which is part of our current exhibition, Chess Variants: Transforming Tradition. No chess experience is needed to join in! This is a self-led activity, so you can spend as much or as little time as you’d like creating a playable masterpiece for the board.
