If you’ve ever been curious about chess—or just looking for a cool spot to socialize—this is your invitation! Join us for a special, laid-back edition of our women’s program, hosted at Havana’s Cuisine Restaurant in the Central West End.
We’re making this night super approachable for complete beginners, women and girls looking for a supportive community, and anyone who loves learning new things and making new friends! No pressure, no complexity.
The Plan for the Evening
- ♟️ Learn a Little: The amazing WGM Thalia Cervantes will lead a short, easy lesson exploring Hispanic chess history at her family’s restaurant.
- 📖 Read and Write Chess: Copies of Dr. Jeanne Cairns Sinquefield’s Read and Write Chess will be available in both Spanish and English.
- 🥂 Mix & Mingle: Enjoy complimentary Cuban appetizers and refreshments while you relax and meet other awesome women.
