Create shapes that literally jump off the page! Join artist Joanne Kluba for a workshop inspired by the three-dimensional optical illusions in the exhibition Victor Vasarely: Calculated Compositions. We’ll discover several basic pop-up forms and learn how to apply these techniques to books, cards, and other works of art.
Joanne Kluba is the founder of Paper Birds Studio, a small custom bindery specializing in hand bookbinding, small edition binding, boxes, portfolios and calligraphy. With an extensive background in printmaking, painting, photography and calligraphy, Kluba brings a variety of expressive visuals to her varied formats of books. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and Europe.
