Brian Owens & The Deacons of Soul (Alvin Quinn, Shaun Robinson, and Rob Woodie) return to the World Chess Hall of Fame to delight music lovers with their lively sound which follows the groove gospel of classic 1960s and 1970s soul.
Audiences are invited to partake in and honor the past through a performance designed to uphold the tradition of soul music, needed in our culture today. Owens recalls the sensual urgency of Marvin Gaye, the comforting falsetto of Curtis May eld, and the tender grit of Sam Cook.
